Reading about how other people have made their living online, you often see a lot ofI did this and puff I’m making money online full-time now!” You get excited and go try to copy the deeds and blagh nada! Sound familiar?

The truth is, the clickbait headlines telling you that you need “zero experience” to make money online are a little misleading! (Yes, I said it!)

Reality is that, at the very least, you need to do some research and learn some stuff! One of the ways to do soak up information about anything and everything related to earning an income online is to read blogs…

But is reading free content enough?

Well… free content is great and you can learn a thing or two, but bloggers need to make money, and for that reason, their best-kept secrets are usually shared with you in a more premium format – e-courses!

Learning means investing in yourself and that is perhaps the best investment you can make. However, traditional courses are more expensive and inconvenient!

With e-courses you can:

  • Pay a fraction of the price compared to College/University courses;

  • Gain more practical and actionable knowledge you wouldn’t get from a university course;

  • Pace yourself: take your time or speed it up as it best suits you;

  • Go over the course as many times you need, as you often get lifetime access.

Plain and simple, online courses are super convenient and much more affordable than traditional learning.

However, it can be overwhelming to figure out which online course to take. So, I decided to round up a few of the e-courses I took along the way on some of the major ways to make money online.

4 Online Courses About Making Money Online

2017 Blogging Blueprint: How to Turn Blogging into a Career

This course is one of the first ones I took in my very early stages. The 2017 Blogging Blueprint course is offered on Udemy, and it is jam-packed with information on how to blog for profit in 2017.

I know I tend to shy away from promoting blogging as a way to make money online. As I said before though, it’s not because it’s not a good method, it’s because it’s a long-term business that’s getting too much (misleading) hype.

That being said, if blogging is something you’re interested, this is a great course to take. I would go as far as saying that this is an affordable alternative to many of those high-ticket courses offered by the pros.

To this day, I still go back to this course to jog my memory about some of the tricks and hacks on blogging.  The 2017 Blogging Blueprint course has lots of little hacks to get discounts and even free tools and resources that actually do a very decent job. It’s a great a course for those who are on a tight budget but still want to start a profitable blog.

Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to earn money online. Maybe you’ve read about it already and are now thinking “great, another way that works just for bloggers”. Not at all!

Affiliate marketing works for many different entrepreneurs and does not have to be just for bloggers!

In the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course, Michelle Schroeder (one of my favourite bloggers) does focus on bloggers, but I’ve been able to put quite a bit of the material to use outside of this blog.

Plus, after you take the course you have access to two amazing opportunities that will help you make money online:

  1. Being part of a private group of bloggers and other online entrepreneurs, where you can network and get some of your concerns answered. (I actually got 2 pretty sweet deals from there!

  2. Becoming an affiliate marketer of the course! This course is super popular (and for a good reason) among online entrepreneurs, and brings Michelle thousands of dollars a month in sales. Wouldn’t it be great if you get a 40% of some of it?

The material is good, but those 2 perks alone already make it worth it! You can check out the course page and enrol here.

5 Days to Profitable Affiliate Pinning

As I’m writing this, I realize that the 5 Days to Profitable Affiliate Pinning is the e-course I promote the most!! I promote it so much, I feel like a broken record right now.

I’ve included it on my resources page, I’ve posted a few different posts about Christina Root – the creator of the course – and the 5DPAP (as we kindly call it). I’m constantly promoting it on the E-riches Club’s Pinterest and Facebook page. Well, you get the drift – I mention it everywhere I go!

And there’s a good reason for it! Actually a few good reasons:

a) It is super affordable when you consider all the high-ticket courses out there;

b) It’s the most easily consumable course I’ve taken yet! It’s not one of those super long and complicated courses that leave you more overwhelmed than anything else.

c) It is perfect for super beginners!

d) It teaches you how to make money without a blog!

This is my staple course for anyone who wants to take something they take for granted and do all the time – like Pinterest – and make money without needing a blog! You can enrol in the course here.

Mastering Pinterest

Mastering Pinterest is the most in-depth Pinterest e-course I have ever taken (and trust me I took quite a few). Melissa Riker is a very thorough and thoughtful instructor and gives lots of actionable hacks and tips.

One of the things I love about this course is that Melissa includes little tutorials on technical stuff that most courses don’t cover. Creating a detailed course is super time-consuming, which is probably why many courses skip the small technical stuff that most of us tech-dummies get stuck on, so I really appreciate the time Melissa put into showing those little things.

Mastering Pinterest is true to its name – it is all about Pinterest – from optimizing your profile and boards, to validating your website and so on. But it also has a great section about optimizing your website to welcome Pinterest traffic and turn it into subscribers! (This part is gold!)

Anyone with a website benefits tremendously from the Mastering Pinterest e-course, but I also found it to be jam-packed of useful information for Pinterest Virtual Assistants and even Pinterest Affiliate Marketers.

Quick Tip:

Whichever course you take, don’t rush through it and don’t skip lessons! Implement every step and homework, and you’ll be able to see the benefits in action!

These four e-courses are my top 4 picks to learn how to make a profit online. They are all paid courses, but I made it a point to include both affordable (under $100) and high-ticket priced courses. I took all these courses myself and can say they are worth every penny.

Investing in yourself is the best investment you’ll ever make, and investing in learning new skills your best leverage to making money online. However, If you’re not in a position to spend money right now, that’s totally fine. You can always get my list of 3 free courses to get you started!

Your turn:

Investing in courses can be a bit scary and may feel risky. Do you have any questions about these specific courses? What’s the biggest reason that stops you from investing in a high-value e-course?
